French Bulldog

Originating in the 19th century in France as tiny bulldogs, French bulldogs were well-known for companionship and gained popularity for their compact size and trademark bat-like ears. Nowadays, they are famous for being one of the charming, affectionate dogs out there.

Labrador Retriever
Breed Name: Labrador Retriever
Origin: Newfoundland, Canada
Breed History:
Originating off the coast of Newfoundland in the 17th century, the Labrador Retriever was trained to retrieve fishing nets through icy waters for fishermen. They were brought to the port of Poole, Great Britain in the early 19th century. Because of their working abilities, the breed was known as the Gundog. Nowadays, they are becoming beloved family dogs and are used as working dogs.

Golden Retriever
Dog Breed Name: Golden Retriever
Origin: Scotland, United Kingdom, England
Breed History:
Sir Dudley Marjoribanks acquired a dog named Nous from England in 1865 and bred him with a Tweed Water Spaniel. He added red setters, Labradors, and perhaps bloodhounds for improvement over 20 years. Officially registered in the year 1908, the golden retriever was initially called Golden Flatcoats. In 1913, they became popular as Yellow or Golden Retrievers and eventually gained the identity of Golden Retrievers in 1920.

German Shepherd

Breed History:
German shepherd ancestors were bred in the 19th century in Germany as working dogs. After much disagreement about the qualities to be seen in the breed Max von Stephanitz announced the first German shepherd dog, which he named Horand von Grafrath in 1899.

Poodle
Name: Poodle
Origin: Germany, France
Breed History:
Although native to France, the Poodle originated in Germany. More than 400 years ago, a dog similar to today's Poodle existed in Germany, a dog that was adept in the water. The dog breed name actually comes from the puddle, a German word.

Bulldog

Breed History:
Preswick Eaton is the first person to reference a Bulldog in his letter. The dog is named “Bull” because of the sport Bull Baiting. It is a cruel sport in England. In these sports, dogs need to grab the bull by the nose, pin the bull to the ground, and win the sport. Bull killing dogs is common. In 1835, bull-biting sports came to an end.
The bulldog rehabilitation journey began in 1864, and America Kennel in 1886 recognized the Bulldog officially as a pet animal.

Rottweiler

Breed History: Working dog breed -Rottweiler is believed to be descended from cattle driving or driver dogs left by the Roman armies across Rottweiler in Germany. After the Roman armies abandoned the area during the second century has come out. This breed of dog accompanied local butchers to the market with money in a neck pouch and went on shopping expeditions from the Middle Ages until 1900. Rottweiler has also served as a driver, guard, rescue, draft, and cop dog.

Beagle

The Beagle dog breed originated from hunting dogs used in herding by foot hunters in Wales, England, and France. It was originally bred in England in the 16th century as a rabbit-hunting dog. These dogs can be traced back to turn-of-the-century England, where rich Englishmen likely owned packs of hounds. A variety called the Pocket Beagle served as hunting dogs on horseback because they could be carried in a coat pocket when out hunting and stood less than ten inches tall.

Dachshund

Bred in Germany over 100 years ago, the Dachshund was originally bred to hunt badgers. The word dachshund means badger dogs. These little hunting dogs did exactly what they were hunted by badgers. Their independence, determination, and physique were best for entering tunnels, digging, and fighting badgers.

German Shorthaired Pointer

Breed History:
The German shorthaired pointer was developed in Germany in the 17th century by breeding the Spanish Pointer with some early German bird dog breeds such as the Bloodhound. The outcome was an active, loyal dog capable of sniffing out game in the forests of Europe. Historically it served as a hunting dog. The German shorthaired pointer known today has gained popularity throughout the world.
