The Border Collie is a medium-sized, agile dog known for its athletic build and keen expression. They have a graceful body, alert ears, and a moderately long tail that flows naturally when in motion. Their double coat, which varies from short to medium length, comes in a range of colors including black and white, red and white, or tricolor. 

Border Collies possess intense, almond-shaped eyes that exude intelligence and focus. Renowned for their lively appearance, they truly embody the essence of a dedicated working dog every day. 

Breed Type - Family/guard: 

Border Collies are exceptionally intelligent and energetic dogs, celebrated for their herding instincts and agility. They thrive in active families, where their drive to work and protect is channeled into play and obedience.

Living Condition:

Border Collies do best in secure, spacious homes with ample room for exercise and play. They adapt well to rural and suburban settings when provided with routine activity and social interaction. They thrive in environments with clear boundaries and plenty of mental stimulation every day.

Border Collies require daily vigorous exercise, including long walks, runs, and interactive play sessions, to channel their boundless energy and keen minds. They perform best when engaged in structured activities and enjoy challenging tasks that stimulate both body and mind. A secure, open area for running is essential for preventing boredom and destructive behaviour consistently.

Grooming:

The Border Collie's double coat requires regular brushing to remove loose hair and prevent matting. Occasional baths and routine ear cleaning help maintain a healthy, shiny coat. Minimal grooming is needed overall adequately.
