When embarking upon making your cat’s food, it's critical to understand that cats are not like dogs or humans. Our cats can’t tell us, not with words. Sometimes we don’t know where we’ve gone wrong until our cat is sick.
Scroll down and give these Furry Facts a quick read;
DO’s
-
All cats, small or big, are carnivores. This means they need meat to survive
-
Their diet must be high in moisture and protein
-
Being carnivores, they benefit from eating cooked, de-boned meats, especially Fish & Poultry
-
Feed your fur buddy a biologically appropriate, natural diet
-
These can be purchased at enlightened retail stores or home-cooked
DON’Ts
-
Avoid feeding vegetarian food since they’ve been evolved to fill this top predator niche
-
Their diet needs to be low in carbohydrates as it leads to obesity, diabetes, and serious digestive problems
-
Believe it or not, most cats are lactose intolerant. Dairy products can cause severe stomach upsets
-
Avoid feeding a dry, kibble diet instead make sure to add some amount of water to it which won’t lead to their being chronically dehydrated causing urinary and kidney problems
