Feeding & Transition

My pet isn’t eating the food—how can I help a picky eater?

If your pet isn’t eating, don’t worry—some pets are just picky!
You can try warming the food a little, mixing in a tasty topper like bone broth or boiled chicken, or slowly switching from the old food by mixing both. Stick to regular meal times and avoid too many treats.
If your dog still won’t eat for more than a day or appears unwell, it’s best to consult with your veterinarian.

How should I introduce Goofy Tails into my pet’s diet?

To avoid stomach upset, transition your pet to Goofy Tails gradually over 5–7 days. Start by mixing a small amount with their current food and increase it daily while reducing the old food. For sensitive pets, go slower and monitor their digestion.

Do I need to transition between Goofy Tails recipes?

If your pet has already adjusted to Goofy Tails food, switching between recipes usually isn’t necessary. However, if your pet has a sensitive stomach or a history of allergies, it’s best to introduce the new recipe gradually to avoid any issues.

Is refrigeration required for Goofy Tails food or broth?

Our fresh meals don’t require refrigeration before opening—you can store them at room temperature and serve them directly to your pet.
However, once opened, both the meals and bone broth must be refrigerated and used within 24 hours for freshness and safety.

Do Goofy Tails meals have an expiration date?

Unopened, the shelf life is typically up to 12–18 months at room temperature; after opening, refrigerate and use within 24 hours.
